President Kibaki arrives in Mombasa for an official visit
President Mwai Kibaki has arrived in the coastal city of Mombasa for a two-day official visit.
The plane carrying President Kibaki and his entourage touched down at Moi International Airport shortly after 4.00 p.m. and he was received by leaders from the Coastal region.
Thereafter, the President was entertained by choirs and groups of cultural dancers.
Meanwhile, the Head of State will tomorrow Thursday 1st September 2011 officially open this year’s A.S.K. Mombasa International Show.
President Kibaki is expected to arrive at the Mombasa Showground for the official opening at 10.00 a.m.
On arrival, the President will be received by Agriculture Minister Dr. Sally Kosgei, Livestock Development Minister Dr. Mohammed Kuti, the National Chairperson of the Agricultural Society of Kenya Mrs. Alice Kalya, A.S.K. Mombasa Branch Chairman Mr. Anthony Mrima and the A.S.K. Chief Executive Mr. Batram Muthoka among others.
