President
attends mass dedicated to the African Child President Mwai Kibaki today joined other Catholic faithful at the Holy Family Basilica, Nairobi for a special mass dedicated to the African child. The special mass was conducted by Bishop David Kamau, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi, who also delivered the sermon. Addressing the congregation after the mass, President Kibaki advised children to embrace good behaviour that will enable them grow into respectable Kenyans. "You know we are building the nation for you. You must be good people and grow to become respectable Kenyans," President Kibaki said. The President assured the youth that the ongoing nation building activities are geared towards securing their future and they should participate fully in that endeavour. In his sermon, Bishop Kamau urged Christians to uphold the Christian doctrine of love in order to overcome their daily challenges. |
