President Mwai Kibaki and First Lady Mrs. lucy Kibaki receive a bouquet of flowers from Kenyan girls Nepasim Ole-Sein, (7yrs) and Lorraine Awori, (5yrs) on arrival at their hotel in Tokyo Japan.

President Kibaki arrives in Tokyo, Japan.

President Mwai Kibaki arrived in Tokyo, Japan this afternoon for a six-day official visit.

The Japan Airlines commercial scheduled flight carrying the President and First Lady Mrs. Lucy Kibaki touched down at Narita International Airport shortly after 4.30 p.m Japanese time.

On arrival, President Kibaki was received by senior Japanese Government officials, Kenya's ambassador to Japan Mr. Dennis Awori and Kenyans resident in Japan.

During the visit, the President will attend the Asia-Africa Trade and Investment Conference, hold talks with Japanese Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi among other official engagements.

He is accompanied by ministers Ali Chirau Mwakwere, Prof. Anyang'Nyong'o, Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi and Raphael Tuju among others.
