President Kibaki sends Idd-ul-Fitr greetings to Muslims

President Mwai Kibaki has sent a message of greetings and goodwill to the entire Muslim community as they celebrate Idd-ul-Fitr.

The President noted that Idd-ul-Fitr is a great day in the Islamic calendar, which all other Kenyans observe as a national holiday in solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters.

“I wish all Muslim brethren and people of goodwill the blessings of Allah and call upon all Muslims to pray for peace and prosperity in our country. Idd Mubarak,” President Kibaki said in his goodwill message.

He commended the Muslim community in the country for the invaluable role they play in inculcating moral rectitude and in championing high standards of righteousness and justice which exalt a nation.

President Kibaki also congratulated them for their dedication to fasting and prayer during the foregoing Holy month of Ramadhan.
